Here is something I put together to get a little more enjoyment out of bolo. I haven't used sounds in years, but this was a good reason to use them again.

If you want to try them out, you can log on to the #winbolo channel and say "sheepbot sendsimp" and sheepbot (a version of me that actually does things) will dcc the file to you and you just need to unzip into your winbolo directory.

I just changed some of the normal sounds for simpsons ones. Let me know what you think.

Wouldn't ya know it? Someone came out with a soundpak before I did. Oh well, doesn't mean I'll stop putting mine together. Once I get back on a windows box, I'll check it out.

Make a new directory inside your WinBolo directory. Name this directory "Sounds" Place the files in there. Or see section 3.8 of the manual file. (Page 36)

3.8 Customised Sounds
WinBolo supports playing of custom sound files instead of using the inbuilt game sounds. This is accomplished by creating a subdirectory called "Sounds" under the WinBolo directory and placing WAV files inside with the correct names. The following table lists the file names...

I also saved the sounds in the zip file in the "sounds" directory. So all you should need to do is extract it in your winbolo directory and it should create the directory (assuming you didnt uncheck Use Folder Names").

The sounds are of a few, Bart, Homer, Nelson...

tried it, funny sounds! Especially the sinking one! "forbidden donut"!!! I might have fun looking at diff. sounds to use...
