What the hell is your guys problem?
Ok, there has been too many of you shitbricks going on and on bitching over nothing, and as much as the majority of us want it to stop, asking kindly or bitching back is never going to stop it.
But I like to think among the constant bitchers and assclowns, there are a few with some rationality left who might want to consider why it would be good to not bitch.
First of all, bitching has never solved any problems, only caused more. If you like winbolo, as most here do, causing more problems to the creator of winbolo, the people that help make the winbolo community function, the people that work on and make projects for winbolo, and the winbolo players isnt going to make winbolo a better game.
There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. In fact, it should be warmly welcomed, as it gives reason to improve or change things for the greater good of everyone. But there is a thick line between screaming personal insults to each other, and giving suggestions on what should be done differently.
Another reason is it drives players away, MAJORLY. So many people have come and quickly gone after a gander of you fools yammering away, and who can blame them? Not to mention the people that may have considered playing until they saw this gawd awful mess on the forums.
On a somewhat related topic, lately DZ and MM have been crying on and on about being banned from the irc server, or game servers. How about instead of your tired weak remarks like "well X did this and got away with it, why cant i?" which never works in any situation (telling a cop you saw someone else do it and got away doesnt make you exempt from the law) you for once look at yourself, and think "Gee, what is it that i did wrong?"
The truth is, nothing is done without reason. Whether the reason is "valid" or not, is different depending on who looks at it how.
Both DZ and MM have done things that have gone against the policy of the .us server. Is the policy absolutely perfect? Surely not. But it does have many qualities that anyone with common sense will agree with.
The ops enforce the policy. So if you have beef with an op for punishing you, "Don't hate da playah, hate da game, dog"
Additions or changes to the policy would be looked at with consideration, and if they are valid, will most likely be added. It really isn't hard, go to www.winbolo.us and make a post on the forum there.
The point that some people make of "well LRL owns the server so he can do anything" or "Pawn owns the game bot so he can ban anyone, biznach!" is obviously correct. I don't think anyone will challenge that, or question it, so why even bring it up? What you need to also know, however, is these people try to be as fair to others as they can, and make the game enjoyable for all. Am i saying this cuz im "another pawn of the .us crew?" as SJ said? No. It is because it is in their best interest, since they would not spend their time and money on winbolo if they did not like winbolo. And because they like winbolo, nothing would make them happier than to have more players play, and watch the game get improved on and grow with everyone's support.
All I ask is the few people that might happen to care about how their actions effect others (I know I expect too much here, but bear with me) not throw stones from glass houses, and just put a little more thought into what they do before they do it.
