Lethargic gameplay is not usually recommended. Each quad has only one base that's likely to remain 'free' from the range of pills, so I would suggest an immediate securing of the quad border areas. The double pill takes are cool, but your enemy can interfere with the take. In chew, several pills form a kind of 'rear guard' making it more difficult for the enemy to block you from taking your two. Here, you may have to do your double while rebuilding their neutrals.
