I have some yeas and nays. The spiderweb effect of grass is great and original. Base placement is a problem. The inner base groups are too close to their counterparts and so any pills in the middle will make 8 bases useless. The map is also not too large, as you say. It seems to be an ideal size for 2x2 and up.
