In all honesty, I was just testing some flood and chanserv scripts for a bot I was working on. Sort of a master-bot.

Pretty much.

The script opens a socket to a current banlist hosted on the .us site and then reverses any bans after a "on *:BAN:#winbolo" if there's no match but it hung on a socket transfer and I had to unban the four of you manually.

Why would a channel that doesn't even hit 30 clients on a server that doesn't get more than 50 clients total, which also has services installed and easily accessed, need any sort of anti-takeover-anti-flood bot?

Let’s see here, the ban set on Jhood…
Before he’s used nickserv to steal other people’s nicknames and then ghost kill them. Now this time he kicked and banned everyone from the channel and then says it was a bad script.

So let’s see here, jhood was flooding (perhaps a script) then when he didn’t stop when ds told him to ds banned him. Then in a private message he told ds it was a bad script and that he was sorry. So ds unbanned him and he rejoined the channel and proceeded to ban and kick everyone in the channel. Each kick had a different reason and the format of them dose not look automated. He also changed the channel topic to “welcome to pwned!” As well as setting a channel key “owned” as well as a number of other modes designed to keep people out and hide the channel. Also makes reference to not knowing the chanserv password.

This is unacceptable and I simply will not tolerate that kind of behavior. Jhood is banned from the server and I will continue to ban any IPs that he uses. Any channel op may ban jhood if he enters the channel, please message me if he does.

Good work filling in the obvious! Perhaps you should remove DS for banning one third of the channel that morning..

I'm familiar with this behavior. Financial independence at a young age is an incredible feeling but it often feeds other feelings of mild superiority and a general attitude shift towards things that one used to care about, like 'so what'.

Yea, #winbolo isn't much compared to what's on the map, but it's a good place to lounge around in with people of like interests. I can't tell you what to do, hood, but I do like your company. So think about what else can be ruined. No one may care, but I felt like thowing a couple of pennies at this one anyway.

I would be having a conversation with derami via PM and the next day LRL would mention something about it in #ircop. I'm unsure how he does it but yes, the admins can read private messages and I've even been pasted a conversation between Min and Addbot that started off about me and then trailed off into another subject.
