RubberDuck needs help

Hi, I got this problem with my computer when I play any game on my computer, dose not matter what it is it freezes, even when I play bolo online it freezes, I am running windows Xp P4 1.9ghs 256MB of Ram that about all I know about my computer ohh ya it has a 40 Gb hard drive so could memory be a problem, I tryed to put the disk that I got from the compaq it just restored factory setting and did not fix my problem with my computer allways freezing so what the hell can I do should I throw it out the window or should I go by windows xp or what !!!!!!!!

30 normally but if it freezes 50

What video card do you have? And what drivers do you use with it?

okay i got a nividia geforc 2 graphics card, umm and I was reading about turning down the hardware acceleration. how do I do that????????? Help please and I turned the fram rate up to 50 and it still freezes so I am lost.

right click anywhere on your desktop and open properties

then settings...advanced and then troubleshoot tab....try changing the harware acceleration maually and see if that helps...check ur drivers too...your specs seem alright...if all else fails call tech help or get any comp buff to have a once over....
