Heh, Min, you've identified only two people -- LRL and Sheeps -- who even arguably dislike you. I sure don't, fi doesn't, and the boys on .com would all like to see you come back around. I hope you don't mistake disagreements on wbn, and even the occasional flame, for anything personal. Hell knows I've gotten my fair share. If you never get flamed, odds are you're not writing anything worth reading.

Anyway, if you're really determined to stick to your retirement, I hope it's not out of some sense of spite. There are lots of good reasons to retire from bolo, but that's toward the bottom of them. You have plenty of friends around here.

Fair enough. I was annoyed, and part of my point was that I felt you and others were defending an idealized world of macbolo that never existed, a world where people were visibly polite to each other. Whatever else might be said of the place, it wasn't heavily moderated. I'd only been around winbolo about two weeks when we got into it, and I spoke based on what I'd personally experienced during that time, which included being +m'd approximately every other day for just joking around in a way that fell markedly short of threatening anyone, or teasing anyone who I thought couldn't take it for what it was.

About the emailing thing, well, who can say why people act the way they do. I hung out for years on #bolo, but I haven't gotten email from a damn person since I left. Maybe it's because I suck. But until you mentioned it, I hadn't even thought about it.

Anyway, for the record, I'm sorry if you felt personally attacked, but some of that inevitably happens when people disagree with each other about something that matters to them. Frankly, at that time you weren't my target audience. I didn't mean anything by it.
