This thread has turned ugly. Min starts frequenting the boards again in a very defensive fashion. Even Kax can't avoid confrontation. And here I decide to post some thoughts on this thread.

Thanks to Killjoy for deleting one of MaddMaxx's assassinine posts. Min, if you deleted one, I thank you also for doing your job on the board and on irc.winbolo.com. When you were there, ("there" meaning irc.winbolo.com) you did a good job of keeping out the unwanteds: mavman, dz, and maddmaxx. We all knew you seemed to be in charge of the channel. What politics, scandals, and conversations went down behind the scenes are mostly unknown to me and to most of us. Then you leave (on the one day that I decided to visit a friend 3 hours away) and all hell breaks lose.

And yes Jockey, Elvis is not confrontational (so far as we know) but you don't need to be in order to be a good mod. You need to be fair and have knowledge of the situation that is occuring in order to make educated decisions on said situation. Elvis tried to initiate some kind of discussion but it turned into a shit-flinging contest. Gee, what a surprise.

In conclusion I would like to say that this thread has entertained me for the past 45 minutes. Have I learned some new information about this whole civil war of winbolo? Yeah, a little bit. Has it been pretty? Nope. Has it settled anything? Nope. Have the multiple sides come to grips of why their enemies did what they did? Apparently not. Have most of you been mature? Heh, not in my eyes. So, flame on!

Well Min, not sure if you will read this, but I'll post it anyway. All I wanted and still want is a control system of policies for the mod's and op's. The current system makes it too easy for abuse and I just think everything will run better and people will be more happy for a system that is more transparent.

But thanks for the use of your nice tools, you did a good job with them and I'm happy to hear that others can take advantage of them. You have added a great deal to the community, even from way back, and we should all be greatful, I know I am. You may want to be forgotten, but I think you have done too may good things for that to happen too quickly. Doesn't mean things can't be changed for the better, but thats not your worry now.

But the personal attacks against you are a bit much and a bit too extreme, no need for people to get so worked up. Enjoy your IRC-less drama and I hope all goes well for you and the family... truely.

well sticks, my experiances with the winbolo community certainly havn't stayed with just the winbolo community, some of the people I met here I would like to always consider my friends, and I wouldn't mind at all if you were one of those people. what do you think I've been doing since I left ... remeber that bot we were working on?.

your welcome.... and quite honestly your the first person to actually say anything of that nature. perhaps we'll get lucky and next version the autospawner ability will be built into the winbolods. .... now that would be a nice improvement.

well, I agree, and the personal attacks are at least 70 percent of the reason I left irc. and of course the backstabbing, the people acting like they are your friend, then treating you like crap later ... that kinda stuff. and well ... my life has very little drama without irc .... its amazing the difference in attitude that other irc chat rooms have ... its unbelievable in fact ... btw ... I'd like to consider you my friend also ... feel free to email me. I havn't abandoned winbolo... I'm just taking a backseat, and actually trying to play the game instead a little more. the whole ircdrama thing is just way to stressful ... and way to pointless...

Unfortunately, for the sake of this wbn discussion, I just restarted working full time today, and I have my family from oklahoma visiting me this week, so I have to bow out of this discussion for the time being. well min, i for one know you did tons of stuff for winbolo, and its too bad you arnt given the respect that you deserve for that.

i cant speak for anyone else, but i for one miss ya bud. you were always a good guy to come to about things relating to winbolo, or not relating.

to be honest though, i do agree with some of what sheeps said. i had my ops permanently removed from minbot some time ago because liz didnt like what i thought about the girls in my life. i do not have the logs, but if you want, feel free to drag em out. i dont see how my personal beliefs in my life mean i am unfit to moderate a channel, that ive been a part of for 3 years, give or take. that is the only thing that has left me sore about that.
perhaps if there was some guide that said discussion of such matter was against the rule, or whatnot, i would have kept it to pm. i dunno. i just thought and still think its unfair when i see people who have been here less and are less active being opped ahead of me, and it sux cuz people give me a lot less respect

but in any case, i hope your doing good in armstrong, your kids are doing good, and liz is doing well. i regret not going out to armstrong, but oh well.
