Perhaps that's what you had set up - your own gamebot, not your IRC server, I could be mistaken. But I do strongly remember a long time ago sometime last year back when you and I used to be good buddies about you saying I should go and set up my own IRC Server.
But even if you didn't set up your own IRC Server, the fact remains that many people over the years wished for a seperate IRC Server to exists seperate from .com, and LRL is the first to finally successfully do it.

Funny, seems ten set it up for Elvis for the Winbolo community, so it stands for WINBOLO, the original. irc.winbolo.us in my opinion stands for a power struggle that LRL started because he couldn't have his own way on irc.winbolo.com, so in my opinion irc.winbolo.us doesn't stand for Winbolo at all but ones quest for power over a game and community. ok, given ten set up irc.winbolo.com for winbolo. but that doesnt mean people cant have things against it because of how it is managed. ten sure isnt actively in there. hmm, here is an example. i love my school, but that dont mean i support all the programs they set up. you wouldnt catch me in the gay and lesbian club for example. UBC has a communism club. A student may love UBC, that dont mean they gotta support communism.
Also, just cuz someone sets something up for something doesnt make it, it. irc.winbolo.com isnt winbolo. irc.winbolo.com is irc.winbolo.com. tons of people want nothing to do with irc, but love winbolo. so i dont agree with that example you set there. whether something is official or not, who cares. its the people that use it that make the difference. the inventor of the first GUI is the original GUI, that dont mean you cant like a different newer GUI like xp, or mac os x, and be accused a heretic.
the part on how you perceive .us is fine. thats opinion. i totally dont agree, but as far as it being your opinion, its totally true. i think sj has 3 testicles, might not be true, but its truly my opinion.
if i was lured by ops or whatever, id just use my own irc channel after registering it. id use #winbolo on rizon or something. its a very degrading thing to call someone someones lacky, and i hope you realize that. heh, power? what power. the power of freedom of speech? ya, its nice to have. i dont see where you were going with that.

Ud and Add are you two going to set up the IBL again?? If so Sticks mentioned something last night that sounded cool. Permament 2x2 allies. I heard one of IBLs problems was that players would lose on purpose to hurt others ranks. Well if yo had a friend as your ally you wouldn't have to worry about that. Lastly, if someone didnt have an ally, they could sub in for someone. It is true that some teams would be stronger than others but thats the way the cookie crumbles. So whats going on with the IBL???

You could have set length leagues and possibly two seperate leagues to seperate the new players from the more experience. Course this would depend on the interest in the idea in the first place but it has my vote, anybody else interested?
