WinBolo Wish List
I've had a couplea ideas for winbolo that could never be implemented, simply because I think Elvis has got his hands full already with solo programming. That being said, I don't think Elvis should feel that he has to incorporate these: this is just a time killer for us ungrateful bastards.
My wish list:
Different modes of game. For instance, "Open, Tournament, Strict or Jousting." Jousting mode would display a timer somewhere as well as each player's kills that would be available to each player in the game. Kind of like, "Player 1: 5 kills. Player 2: 3 kills. Time left: 2:48."
Indestructable terrain. It's sometimes a pain in the ass to have a game slowed down by shallow water in your quad or craters. This would also be very good if you wanted to have indestructable walls for a racing map, so that each player could have bullets and not have the ability to cheat.
Minor things: from-the-sea-shootable craters, mines that don't dissapear when shot on rubble from the sea.
Practice Pill-taking mode. This would allow you to get yourself in the correct position for a pilltake without having your block destroyed. When you felt ready to fire, you would hit a key that would "turn on" the pills and let them start firing upon you. In the same breath, a "line of fire" for everything would be nice. Instead of just having an indeterminite "X" out 7 squares away, a small line coming from your turret and terminating at the X's intersection would be nice, especially if it turned whatever it touched green to indicate that you were going to hit that particular object. Perhaps this could be used for pills as well.
