You guys sit still and keep throwing rocks from under the bridge.. I'm gonna cross it and bring people back so you have a reason to stay.

I am gonna save my rocks to throw them at the new people. Although I think this could really be a good thing. with the tech type people on digg and slashdot one of them might have fun playing winbolo and decide he wants to make an open source, multiplatform version that actually works properly and the community would have another split which are always fun!

....jesus, this thread got off topic really fast. anyway, yeah. you shoud made his account via pm. anyway, it nice to see people still chatting about the history of winbolo. god only knows that it been talk about over and over and over again. it just beating a dead horse. anyway, as for "vets" bugging new players in winbolo. well, you can't control what people do or say in winbolo. if they going to bug the new players around, who are we to stop them? in fact, if they don't like what they are saying. ignore them. don't reply to them. talking about is just going to fuel there insults. in fact!, i think elvis should put in a "mute" button in the next update. i think that would help a lot for this issue.

My one great regret in this whole revolution is that I never sat down and wrote something akin to the Declaration of Independence about why we were doing what we did that could be easily referred to and referenced. One reason I didn't do it is I didn't want to antagonize Min and Nemokrad even more then they were by making an extensive list of all the bad things that had happened under their watch. But I see that several years later, they are still upset about it, so perhaps it wouldn't have changed their feelings.

By the way, concerning an earlier comment about a civil war. We actually did privately consider this a revolution like the American Revolution. We felt we were throwing off a bad system of governing for a better one that treated people better. We even gave each other secret names based upon leaders of the American Revolution.

Also as Jhood alluded to earlier, I do feel we made some mistakes, and someday maybe I'll explore what I feel those were.

There are so many good papers that could be written about the whole episode.

I don't know now if I should stay away from reading this forum, not sure I wanna read all the flames I'm gonna get now.

I just want to know why anyone would waste their time writing that shit down. For the sake of a community with less then 30 active people?

I also have regrets about the whole thing, I really wished I would have pissed even more people off. Just for fun

Whats most amusing about that statement is perhaps you should detail all the bad things you did under 'our' watch and then blamed on us? ... from what I hear, that list was quite extensive...

*my thought and feeling about what happen during the "Take over" so feel free to skip my post... my reason of making this post is because I never really told anyone how I felt about this and i rather just get it out and done with*

At the time of the "take over" I was ask by fireice to join the new server like many of you did. I was promise change, that the new server would treat people better than the .com at the time, I didn't like how I was treated in .com server. *mind you I was like 10 or 11* and I was really "gun-ho" about the new server. but I never though at the time that it was a take over. I wanted the .com to stay. I knew min,nemo and the rest of the gang work hard to make .com happen. I though .us was just a other server that people can join so they can stay away from bullshit that happen in the .com. But be able to join .com so they can challenge people in .com so, in the beginning .us was great. i though it went very well. it was what fireice said it wuld be..but it was only like that for a short time. Than bots from .com went over to .us... .com was slowy begining to died out. Than the rules came in. When that happen it was alright. You need rules to make sure people don't screw around. but rules were made by lrl,fireice and a few other people I don't remeber. At the time, I believe the rules were made for people who goes to .us and not as a general over all rule for winbolo is self. but it did happen. I didn't like it. but I wasn't as piss off as other people. now, today. I regret being a part of the take over. I didn't like how I was treated by mods and I believe .us was going to be better *in term of being treated better it was* but now with the whole rules thing not being made by elvis . the crap lrl and fireice pulled on me with the whole madescout thing.* just a note i ask fireice before banning/kicking mad scout.... im not mad for giving up my op im piss off of being screw over that way... if you want to talk to me about this issue pm me* .us is no longer what it was going to be. Most of what I been told, was a lie. iIreally thought lrld and fireice wanted change because of the treated of people in .com but I think they just use that reason just to take away control from .coml.*beside the shit that happen between lrl and min,nemo, lrl was never disrespect like many of us were* im sorry for being part of the .com being killed. Fireice, you were, & without any new reason to think any bit different, still are like the town gossiper. Beyond that,your lust for drama and creating it, created the real "meat" for what everyone seems to beleive would become a good read.

Just make sure that if your going to pull a novel on winbolo, and all the elements of it, in a timeline and detailed setting, make sure to include all the drama and bullshit that you did. Afterall you created .us to be a better place to treat ppl better, (at least in your and LRL's baiting comments), yet you brought more drama and treated ppl like shit just the same. Heh, wish I woulda started my logging and pasting shit like this earlier then I did. Your undermining gossip and reversal game in .com alone woulda made this post even more juicy then it already is.

Strange, I check the forums somewhat regularly, and move advertising off the main site anytime I see it. I don't bother moving posts from bots that are just spouting nonsense, becuase it could be a actual bolo player, hard to tell the difference sometimes.
